Bad experience with a happy end
I wasted a whole month trying to get my mavic air controller repaired. Worst folks to ever work with. Sent it in for repair as the sticks stopped working independent of each other. One stick moves but the drone register it as both stick moving. It's a software issue so I thought they would reprogram for free. But they invoice me as it's out of warranty. I had no choice but pay it. When I get it back it had seem like they put some other program on it. Now lights on the controller doesn't blink in sequence. It doesn't sync well with my phone and reception cuts in and out so it's hard to see what the drone is seeing. I figure if I send it back they would just fix it. But now they invoiced my another 110 bucks. How do I know that paying this 2nd invoice is going to fix it. I don't. If I paid for the work to be done, it should be done right the first time. And if it isn't it should be done right the second time without charging me yet again. I couldn't risk paying again and probably not get it done right again. Now I just wasted money for the first repair. At least give me that money back. But nope. Now I have a messed up drone and wasted money for a repair that didn't happen. Hate dji drone repair services. Update: my case number is CAS-6960550-X6K6F9 And CAS-6784841-G7B7N6 As it was sent it twice.. still has issues as of now Update: test flight today and noticed that pointing the 2 joysticks toward the down and center position no longer starts the propellers. Update 9/16/2021: dji reached out to me and promised to have this problem resolved. Have the aircraft shipped to them for free. Waiting on what resolution they have planned. Said they would replace it. Will keep everyone posted. Update 9-19-2021 Just got the replacement. The aircraft looks new. The controller is probably refurbished but it's working flawlessly so far. Couldn't bring the review up to 5 because of the hassle but truly appreciate dji for finally resolving the issue. Planning on getting the osmo action. Thanks
