Chrono24

Not A Very Pleasant Buying Experience

If I use a word to describe my experience in this purchase, it would be ARROGANCE! I, and almost all here, bought the watch based on the description stated. As a trusted seller with apparently proven records, is it not logically that a little explanation is accorded, when the description of the watch has discrepancy? Maybe my purchase was of low value but is still a Patek of USD14+ thousands. This is a gift for my wife and being the first time buying this brand, I relied on the description to do my selection. In this case, I felt a 30mm case diameter would better suit her wrist. That was why during the search, one of my criteria were 30-34mm case diameter. When I received the watch and placed on her wrist, I immediately felt it seems smaller than described. I measured it and saw 28mm on the measuring instrument. Imagine me and my wife’s disappointment! Furthermore, there was no movement in the mechanism (only when sent to the service center, was told there was a possible failure in the movement even though the battery is still ok), fortunately nothing major happened (I can only assumed this as the service center said ‘no new is good news’). Does not matter, I am willing to have it serviced and to pay a few hundreds for it. I wrote to the dealer Collectors1946 to seek some clarity, the response was “We can offer a full refund as the Patek was priced too low (listing error)”. What arrogance and nonsensical reply! When we buy online, everything is based on trust. I have previously bought from this platform and found it very pleasurable to experience. I even told my wife not to worry. Now, I have my doubts, even though the staffs of Chrono24 have been most helpful and prompt to follow up.
