Lovely vacation; wonderful experience
We loved this wonderful vacation property. Everything is decorated so tastefully and there's much more room than you would think. The front porch is huge with lots of convenient seating, including a large table and a swivel chair seating area. It's screened so there were no bugs, and the screen mesh was so fine that it didn't interfere with the beautiful bay view. We walked out on the pier, just steps from the house, and enjoyed seeing little fish and scuttling crabs. We saw so many herons! One flew so close to the porch I could have touched it had it not been screened in. The attractive kitchen was stocked with all the utensils, pots and pans you would need, including a wine opener. I noticed an earlier review said there was no dishwasher, but there is now - a GE Profile model that works well. The full size oven, stove top and microwave were perfect for cooking. We enjoyed the large TV at night and the two swivel chairs in the living room were very comfortable. The private, outside old-fashioned bath tub was a surprise! It was too cold in December to try it out, but it would be fun in warmer weather. It's a very short ride to Port St. Joe and its many fun and tasty restaurants, and also not too far from Appalachicola, which is like Port St. Joe but on steroids. Lots of great shopping with unique gift items. We loved Brick Wall restaurant and its gourmet pizza.
