Some faults, but mostly happy with dresses and customer service!
I was extremely sceptical, but the range of styles and colours was a real sell for me. I'm mostly happy with my purchase and the service I received. The dresses are really nice, the colour is perfect. Some of the stitching is pretty rough and not top quality, but barely noticeable. Otherwise, the dresses are of nice quality overall. Unfortunately, the sizes are a bit strange. The bust area is huge and needs altering on both of the dresses I bought, but in contrast, the waist is extremely narrow. We got standard sizing as I was anxious about the no return policy on the custom made dresses. Skinny waist with big boobs appears to be the standard sizing - we all wish this was the reality! The dresses took a long time to arrive, they were at the very end of the 7 day period they were expected, so took about 4 weeks in total. Given this, I was concerned about the return policy and getting new dresses on time. However, when I got in touch to request an exchange they were quick to respond and gave me multiple options. They were upfront in saying an exchange would take time as I would need to send the dresses back and wait for a refund before reordering. As my wedding is in 8 weeks this seems to be cutting it fine! They also gave me the option of a 40% cash refund or a 50% coupon refund, which would allow me to contribute to alteration costs. The refund was more like 35% in the end and doesn't fully cover alterations, but I was happy with this as a solution. Ultimately, I have two dresses that I am able to alter to perfectly fit my bridesmaids, and everyone is happy. There is some room for improvement from JJSHouse, but overall I feel the risk was worth taking and I am happy with the outcome! Oh one more thing, I also LOVE the colour swatches!! I ordered 4 in slightly different colours, which allowed me to see exactly what colour dresses would be (remember colours vary on different screens!), they allowed me to check against the skin tone of my bridesmaids and get their agreement in colours, and with the groom's party. I highly recommend ordering a few swatches!
