Trying to extort money after illegally charging monthly fee
I initially created my company logo with this company and paid the fee for the design and file formats. Then I started getting charged (to the credit card I had used) monthly by them for "storage of design". Got that stopped. Tonight I got an email from Alan Smith at this company saying he had someone else who wanted to purchase my design and he was protecting it for me at a cost of $560. Here is the text from the email from him: This is Alan From DesignMantic. I wanted to discuss the ownership/copyrights of the logo design which you purchased from us “MY COMPANY NAME WAS HERE”. There’s a client who’s interested to get the rights to the same design since the rights of this design haven’t been sold yet. I’m holding it and giving you the priority to own the design since you were the first buyer of this logo and using the logo on your website at https://www. MY COMPANY WEBSITE WAS HERE/.
