A very expensive service that I regret from start to finish.
When I first contacted Data Tech for a damaged external drive I was told it would take less than a week to get my files back. I spoke to 2 different people that said this. It wasn't true. It took a week for them to confirm my job and let me know IF they could retrieve files. At that time they let me know that it would cost over $2000 to retrieve the files. I was in a hard spot so I reluctantly agreed - despite initially being told on the phone it would cost around $1200. It took a while to get parts in due to poor chain supply, so that initial week turned into a month. Finally they contacted me and we reviewed the drive remotely to see if everything was there. It was! I paid the money and received my drive. Indeed all the files were there but more than half of them were damaged an unusable. They mentioned that there may be damaged files BUT never said it would be more than 1/2. I found the service VERY MISLEADING from start to finish. And basically in the end I paid for absolutely nothing I can use.
