We LOVE Instant Mandarin
My two kids 8 yr and 5 yr olds have been attending Instant Mandarin classes for a year now. My younger one joined as a beginner although she attended pure chinese kindergarten classes prior to starting at Instant Mandarin. The foundation at instant mandarin that she received is what she needed. She wasn’t picking up much in her chinese kindergarten. She became very fond of Pia laoshi who is extremely kind and gentle. Her teaching method is highly effective. She also customized the lessons for my daughter and added pinyin with her rugular program. My 8 year old on the other hand joined at the intermediate level. He was good at reading and writing since he was in primary school taking native level chinese. But he was not a confident speaker. There was a huge gap between his reading and his speaking skills. We mainly joined to practice his speaking . And I couldn’t be happier! Hes become a confident speaker. His chineseteacher in school also mentioned that he loves to speak in chinese and loves to participate in class. We like every teacher that we took class with at Instant Mandarin. They are all gentle and engaging. What I love is the kids don’t need to be engaged with cartoons and flashing animation. They are kept engaged by just speaking and non flashing simpler images and games. The 25 mins fly by quickly and my kids are never bored. They have no problem even if I book daily sessions for them. For both my kids, its been a great experience! The support team is also very responsive and willing the customize the class according to the students needs. I see my kids attending IM for many years. Ive learnt so much myself that I am planning to start taking adult classes myself. Keep up the great work Instant Mandarin teachers and support team!
