The best platform for HODLers
I have been a mostly satisfied Celsius user for over a year, with a fairly large account. However, not only has Celsius been consistently overpromising and underdelivering, they have also fallen significantly behind on their rates, particularly for BTC, ETH, and stables. Not only does Haru have much higher rates, but I like the ability to lockup coins in exchange for a higher and fixed (and thereby more predictable) rate. Haru is the perfect platform for true HODLers. Ironically, Celsius markets themselves for HODLers, yet they do not have this feature. Haru support (via email and Telegram) has been very responsive, for now. A Haru employee was also kind enough to spend some time answering my questions about the company. I like that Haru has been able to consistently roll out new products (including Freeze, which is a very interesting and potentially useful idea) even with a small team. All things considered, it was enough to overcome the (considerable) inertia and move a large portion of my funds from Celsius into Haru. I had been content with accepting a lower rate at Celsius in exchange for the security that comes with them being a relatively known quantity, but the differences were becoming too great to ignore. So far, my experience with Haru has been pleasant and smooth. Their app is perhaps lacking a bit of polish (e.g localization mistakes like "Accumulated Earning" instead of "Accumulated Earnings"), but overall very functional and serviceable. I'm looking forward to seeing how things continue to develop at Haru!
