Best Buy

iPad at Best Buy

I purchased an iPad at the Lees Summit, MO store and was told I would receive a $100 discount for opening a credit account. The discount was not applied at checkout, and the salesperson assured me it would appear on my first bill. It did not. When I returned to the store, management informed me the promotion was actually a $100 gift card, contradicting what I was told at the time of purchase. To resolve this issue, I had to make three trips to the store, five calls to customer service, send a letter to corporate legal, and exchange four emails with a resolution specialist. After more than five hours of my time and additional travel expense, I finally received the $100 I was originally promised, along with a $25 store credit. While I appreciate the eventual resolution, the amount of time and effort required to correct a mistake made by the store was unreasonable. My time has value, and this situation should never have required such extensive follow‑up.
