Great course that could use some updates and TA attentiveness.
This course was fantastic as a ground level, getting started in C4D experience. What I found unfortunate was that a lot of the content is from 6+ years ago, and a lot of the functionality within C4D (R25, specifically) has changed. I found myself Googling often for workarounds, or where things were located, often to no avail, losing hours of valuable work time. I was also thrown off by the Adobe Premiere lesson in the middle of the course. A head's up to students to have some working knowledge of that would have also saved a lot of time. I thought knowing AE would be suffice. Another critique I have is the TA's interaction. I felt a lot more connected and guided through AE Kickstart with my TA, than I did with this course. (Which could have really benefitted from having more interaction, considering how complex and time-consuming a lot of the steps are.) I never received answers to any of my follow-up questions or musings to the TA's critique notes to me. And in my notes to him for my Final, to look at the ZIP file of the scene images that I provided, was ignored, and he presented an unfinished video of a text animation (that I had to include to even send anything) instead for the Summit. Sigh. Overall, I had a fantastic experience, and learned so much. For that, 4 Stars. Thanks SoM.
