Good product, unfortunate vendor lock-in practices
We wanted to offboard Runcloud after the price increase last year and requested a grace period since the new pricing went into effect immediately, which they did not accept. Would be great if they did, but understandable that they didn't. That said, you'd expect them to at least let you offboard without having to nuke your entire Wordpress setup following a price increase, but they don't allow this. We had to rebuild all our servers because they shut down our stack as soon as we stopped our subscription. Basically they hold your websites hostage even though users own the infrastructure. There's nothing proprietary they install on your server besides their management agent, and so there has to be ZERO reason for them to be taking down your websites. In my view, they're a glorified cloud panel who call themselves "SaaS", which is how they justify their questionable vendor lock-in practice. Shame because their product is good otherwise.
