I came into the school with an idea…
I came into the school with an idea that the 200hrs was going to be a challenge that I wanted to face. The whole experience was overwhelmingly amazing. Firstly, you are in the mountains away from the Main Street (but still close enough to walk down), the food they prepare was amazing. I looked forward to eating every meal, especially never really being vegetarian for so long, I felt completely full and nourished. The course itself was great. I, as probably many imagined the physical aspect would be the most challenging, and as much as it was, I loved it. Learning ashtanga vinyasa primary series was delightful, even when I couldn’t (not yet) get my feet into lotus. And in vinyasa was a welcome change every day, not knowing where the class will take up. Learning about the alignment and anatomy for me was the best, to really help support the physical practice. I learnt so much in the pranayama, philosophy and meditation classes, primarily about myself and am still trying to process it all. These are practices I wish to continue into my every day life. And hopefully soon be back for 300hrs! The other students, the teachers, the staff, the whole Vinyasa Yoga Ashram community are beautiful, tough yet so supportive, I cannot recommend them enough XX
