Paperpal is a great alternative to Turnitin, which is only available to institutional clients. If you are working as an independent researcher, or if institutional resources are inaccessible for one reason or another, this offers a convenient and quite affordable option.
Paperpal is an all-around research aid. It has a variety of functions, including language checks, write/rewrite, write and cite, trim/expand sentences and paragraphs, and checking AI and similarity content. That said, there is still an opportunity to improve, as the app quite frequently freezes and keeps popping up error messages, which can be a little inconveniencing...
Ease of use.
The app itself is doing a great job of assisting the research and writing process. However, I've experienced challenges with renewing my subscription. I've forwarded this concern several times and requested an alternative payment mode (PayTM or PhonePe would be convenient per my current location). This is yet to be addressed.
