Unique but not hardy
Ask and Embla offer a unique range of jewellery, the style of which I haven't been able to find anywhere else. However, for the price, my experience has been quite disappointing. I purchased four pieces, two of which broke quickly with minimal wear. The clasps loosened or broke. Ask and Embla were very quick to respond and happy to replace and the replacements haven't showed any issues but I think for the price that these pieces sell for, this should not be happening. The replacements have held up in regards to the clasp but even with only occasional wear, the silver cranium earrings have tarnished to reveal a gold colour underneath.
I love this company's style but would struggle to purchase again.

pieces break easily + messy shipping
their pieces are undoubtedly unique and beautiful and i had been looking to buy off this company for a while. i can wholeheartedly say i love the LOOK of their products.
i saved up because the pieces are also expensive. unfortunately, within weeks of receiving my package and within less than half a dozen times of wearing both the snare pin hangers and the cranium earrings, the clasps on both no longer work and i cannot wear them due to this. that’s £58.50 that i spent that has now been wasted. i’m really disappointed, especially due to the price of these products i would expect them to be more durable.
also, this company is US based and i am in the UK. first, i had a hassle even placing the order as the site couldn’t decide whether to charge me in US dollars of GBP so it wouldn’t even let me place the order. when i finally managed to find a way to make it work, i received a whole host of emails saying they said they would not ship the order until i paid the customs fee. why this isn’t included in the original price god knows. such a faff and not a great system.
