NTUC FairPrice

The fruits sold at all the fairprice…

The fruits sold at all the fairprice outlets are priced much higher than all the fruit vendors in the neighbourhood. Eg 1kg of mangosteen is priced at $2 at bugis fruit stalls but fairprice charges about $4 per kg. Noticed that not many people bought the apples and oranges as they were very expensive compared to outside and they were always written off and sold as rejects. Who is bearing the losses in these cases which have occurred for so many years already? This practice of selling fruits expensively is not beneficial to both fairprice and the consumers. Hope we could see some improvement in the management.
