Returns are close to impossible
EDIT: TLDR: I tried to do a simple return that met the guidelines of their return policy. From my initial email requesting a return to receiving a return label from the company it took: + 17 days + 7 emails + a negative Trust Pilot review & + a negative review of the item on their site outlining their lack of response to my return request I finally received a full refund about 2 weeks from mailing the package, which was a relief. Lesson for any would be shoppers: to successfully complete a return, you must launch a weeks-long email and public shaming campaign. You’ll get a refund if you’re willing to devote hours of your life towards that end. ********************************************** I got a ring from here, and it shipped quickly from California. When I got it, it fit but was super uncomfortable. It was bulky on the sides and irritated my neighboring fingers so I emailed the company to initiate a return. Seemed like it should be straightforward: I contacted them the day it arrived, their return policy allows for this, I had all of the packaging. After I emailed them, they gave me a convoluted policy about not accepting returns due to “heath hazards”. I reiterated that I was returning a ring, not piercing jewelry. I got another email stating that this was fine but I could only do an exchange. I sent them a screenshot of their own return policy stating that returns were accepted. They then told me I needed to pay for the return shipping with tracking to Singapore, despite me living in the US and receiving the item from a US address. I asked them if I could return it to the US address instead of paying $30+ for shipping to Singapore. They said they’d get back to me but did not, so I emailed them again 3 days later to remind them. They finally got back to me and said that shipping to Singapore was completely necessary and that I’d need to pay them an additional $10 first before they send me the return label and instructions. Even though this sounds iffy, I said “ok, let’s do that”. They said they’d get back to me with more info and told me to be “patient”. I was patient for several more days until I started writing negative reviews here and on their site detailing my experience. I finally received a return label and they refunded me the $10 return fee. They have cool-looking expensive products and very glossy marketing, which led me to believe they were a legit company. However, attempting to do a VERY simple return seems completely impossible in practice, despite what the policies on their site say. It seems like the only way to get anywhere is to devote hours of your life to a public shaming campaign.
