Dangerous scam – illegal bike sold as a pedelec
I purchased an ENGWE Engine Pro 2.0, believing it to be a normal EPAC e-bike compliant with EU laws (25 km/h, 250W, certified EN15194). The reality is completely different: the bike has a 750W motor, reaches 40+ km/h, and comes with a fake label falsely declaring compliance with EN15194. In Germany, this bike has no ABE (mandatory road approval) and cannot be legally registered. Riding it on public roads is a criminal offense. I was personally stopped by the police, taken to court, and fined €500. I provided ENGWE with all the official documentation, but after months of requests they refused to compensate me for the fine. Instead, they wasted my time with endless delays and excuses. ⚠️ This company is dishonest, fraudulent, and dangerous. They not only deceive customers, but also put road safety at risk. I strongly advise against buying anything from ENGWE.
