I purchased an S9 Pro on the flash sale…
I purchased an S9 Pro on the flash sale to finally get a compact headphone amp/dac to use with my various phones and tablets. I mainly stream through Amazon Music and this will finally let me take full advantage of their Hi-Res music files. I have to say that Hidizs did a very good job with the design, implementation of the ESS dac and getting the performance out of it as advertised. I have upgraded cables with the interchangeable plugs so I can switch between the standard 3.5single ended output and the 2.5 balanced output. I prefer the balanced output overall but I can’t take advantage of it with all my headphones. My main daily headphones at the moment are the KZ ZAX and the TRN ST5. The S9 Pro has really made these both sound very good and noticeably improved the sound. I also want to mention that I used a GUCraftsman lightning to USB-C OTG adapter cable to connect the S9 Pro to my iOS devices. That setup works flawlessly and without issue.
