Mostly Good Experience

Hi There were some glitches in the earlier version of the Apple Music Downloader. Specifically, the artwork was missing intermittently. Also, some tracks had additional overlap before and after. There were also instances when the track doesn't convert. It tries again and then is able to do it. I wonder why that is the case. However, this is in the minority of cases. I hope it is fixed. An auto refresh of the Playlists created in Music when they are updated would be great. Right now, if you add songs to existing playlists or create new playlists, on Apple Music, they do not appear automatically in the TunePat console. Instead you have to manually refresh to see them. Overall, it is a good downloader.

Good Apple Music Converter

The Apple Music Converter was intuitive to use. I converted tracks from various albums and then changed them to FLAC using the tools. i later discovered that you can use settings to automatically output in FLAC or other formats without having to do the 2 step conversion. I am curious though as to why FLAC files are so much larger. You can even upsample the output to higher bitrates although I didn't try that. The user interface is friendly and the built in web version of Apple Music makes it easy to use. The conversion takes a while though - roughly 12 minutes for an album. to convert an entire album you have to highlight and select every single track. It would be more helpful if you could just have a checkbox to select the entire album. I am puzzled as to why there are some selections for an artist that only allow a preview rather than playing the entire track but I think that is probably due to the territorial restrictions in Apple Music rather than Tune Pat. There are some quirks though. After a while you cannot hit the Home button and you need to restart the programme to be able to do so.
