They take your money and run
To preface, I am a pastor at an evangelical church, and I have spent $20k with Westbow - fundraising, donations, family and friends, and about just over half is from personal loans or cash we had on hand. They took my money and ran. My goodness they promise the world, but then when your book doesn't sell very well, all they do is try to sell you more marketing (when $10k isn't enough??). The worst part is their HORRIBLE customer service. I could show you threads upon threads of me following up with them and they ghost me for months at a time. It's like they're all on the same page about not replying. Because they severely suck at communication, unbeknownst to me, at the same time I was running a huge marketing campaign, I was on local tv in my state, and hundreds of people were on my website... my book was UNAVAILABLE on every online retailer. So what happened as a result of my huge push? Zero sales. Westbow sent me 100 free books (that were all bent because they crammed them in a small box) and free marketing (THAT ALSO DID NOTHING). Run from this company.
