Fraudulent!! Avoid Wondershare's Recoverit at All Costs! Total Rip-off!
My encounter with Wondershare's Recoverit software was nothing short of a NIGHTMARE. Urgently needing to retrieve files from a hard drive, I was lured into purchasing this software (because you can't retrieve even 1! File in trial version to test if it works), and it turned out to be a colossal failure. Firstly, the software is a complete farce. It claimed to recover files, but all I got were empty, 0-byte mockeries of my lost data. Customer service was and is a joke. They provided me with three separate download links, each leading to a corrupted version of the software. The constant error messages like "Wondershare Recoverit is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the bin" were infuriating. Their so-called "7-day money-back guarantee" is a deceptive practice. Wondershare hides behind a clause in their policy, absurdly accusing me of non-compliance. They claim a refund is void if a customer doesn't cooperate with their support team. This is laughable considering their 'support' consisted of sending me three defective installer links. Their accusation of my non-cooperation is not just false, but insulting, especially after I diligently followed their instructions only to be met with repeated failures. Their policy is a convenient smokescreen to avoid accountability for a defective product and dismal customer service. Additionally the refund process itself is a labyrinth designed to frustrate and discourage customers. It's a cycle of endless redirects, useless chats with bots, and having to repeat your issue over and over to indifferent support staff. And let's not forget the sneaky addition of an insurance fee at checkout, a sly move that reeks of scam tactics. I ended up having to purchase an other Software "EaseUS Data Recovery Wizzard" - as I needed the files back asap or I would have lost a lot more money and 2 weeks worth of work - with instant success! EaseUS easily worked like a charm with no issues! I've repeatedly requested a refund, providing detailed explanations of the software's issues, only to be met with apathy from support staff, requesting screenshots - which I now have provided. Despite clear evidence of their faulty software, it seems this doesn't align with their refund policy. Ironically, the only way they might refund is because of the unsolicited insurance fee. I'm expecting further avoidance and baseless excuses from them! In short, stay away from Wondershare and their products. It's an exercise in futility and frustration, a waste of both money and time, and a company that shows little regard for its customers. As the error message aptly suggested, it seems the best place for Wondershare products is indeed the bin! I urge everyone to steer clear of Wondershare.
