My Experience with Sheila Williams’ AAA Course
After achieving my FCCA, I had to take an ACCA paper again after 10 years because of a professional requirement. I knew I needed guidance, especially since the exam setup and syllabus had changed so much. I chose Sheila because my best friend attended her class 10 years ago and strongly recommended her. She told me that Sheila made the subject so interesting, so when I had to take AAA, Sheila was the obvious choice for me. My biggest challenge was basically everything — I wasn’t sure about the current syllabus, exam setup or exam techniques. The only thing I knew was that the passing rate was low, which made me so worried about failing. I needed someone to guide me and also give me a push to practise more questions. For me, OMARI is a must-have! I knew I had the technical knowledge from working in the auditing industry, but the challenging part was knowing how to apply it during the exam. I wasn’t always sure how to structure my answers or how many marks I would actually get. OMARI gave me a proper structure for answering Q1 and helped me focus on scoring marks. The techniques for auditor’s reports, matters to be considered and audit evidence were also very impactful for me. The combination of learning the techniques, practising questions and reviewing them gave me the guidance I needed. When I saw my result and realised I had passed, I was so happy. My first thought was: “Tell Sheila that I have passed!!!” If you’re considering Sheila’s AAA course, my advice is simple: just go for it!
