Singlife is the worst in terms of making claims. My spouse passed away 3 weeks ago and Singlife refused to pay out the first $150k of his $155k~ policy and instead wants to see a copy of probate and a copy of bank passbook of "estate of xxxspouse"... this will easily take 6-12 months. He bought the policy only 2 years ago and hasn't even broken even. My husband also has a Prudential policy and they paid out the first $150k immediately. ..with the balance only available after probate. That's efficient service and there was no named nominees in case you are asking.
