Good hardware, Broken promises
I feel compelled to write this review to warn other potential customers about Elegoo's practices regarding their promises. Let me be clear: the Elegoo Centauri Carbon filter itself is a good product. It does its job well, the build quality is solid, and for its core function, I have no major complaints. For this reason, they get two stars instead of one. However, my extreme disappointment comes from Elegoo's failure to keep a public commitment to their customers. Earlier this year, the company officially announced and promoted that a multi-color system for the Centauri Carbon would be released in Q3 of 2025. This was a major factor in my decision to purchase this specific unit over competitors. I, like many others, invested in the Elegoo ecosystem based on this promised future upgrade. Q3 2025 has come and gone, and there is no multi-color system. There has been no official announcement, no update on the timeline, and worst of all, no apology or explanation for this broken promise. It feels as though the company has simply decided to quietly sweep this commitment under the rug, hoping we will all forget. This is a serious breach of trust. It is one thing to delay a product for technical reasons, but it is another to make a public roadmap promise to drive sales and then completely abandon it without a word. It makes me question the integrity of the company and whether any of their future announcements can be believed. My advice: Buy Elegoo products for what they are today, not for what the company promises they will be tomorrow. Their hardware is decent, but their word, in this case, has proven to be worthless. I am deeply disappointed and would think twice before trusting this company again.
