Yunnan - an excellent private tour beyond our expectations !
I would like to give credit where it is due. Our recent 10days tour to Yunnan was such a wonderful experience! Having been recommended by a relative on her recent travel with CCT, I engaged Ms Linda Wu to plan a Yunnan itinerary with English guides to cater for 4 adults, 2 of whom are elderly travellers. From the outset, she was very prompt and quickly came up with a suitable itinerary according to my requests. She also provided tour suggestions that cater for preferences of the different travellers. As we usually travel on our own, naturally I was unsure how a guided tour would turn out. My fears were completely unfounded. We visited Kunming, Dali, Lijiang and Shangri-La and in each of these cities, the local guides and drivers were excellent! Just want to give a shout-out to our guides & drivers who made our trips so memorable with their passion and attention to detail – In Kunming – Jerry, an ever polite and attentive young man; Rosemary, an infectious, energetic guide who is an excellent photographer (took some of the best shots for us) and looked after our elderly extremely well even in the challenging terrain of Stone Forest and Jiuxiang Caves . In Dali – Sally was a problem solver who switched cars to accommodate the luggage, who provided insights into the Bai minority way of life, and who chit-chat with our elderly in a café while we went on a cycling trip around Erhai Lake. In Lijiang – Rosemary gave good advice on our trip to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain such that time was not wasted on this excellent day trip. In Shangri-La – Jack did not bat an eye when we wanted to do a hike in the Tiger Leaping Gorge with the elderly and he ensured that the hike went safely! Last but not least, we want to thank our driver who accompanied us from Dali-Lijiang-Shangrila- he is the best driver ever. His driving skills are amazing and he was so concerned that we would miss our train by running with our luggages to catch the train. During the tour, Linda continues to check-in on our trip to ensure we are well taken cared of. Linda and our guides also bought us local products and fruits to try and gave good recommendations for restaurants. At the end of 10 days, our elderly relatives gave a thumbs up to the tour and the kind and wonderful care given to them by the guides/drivers. We also enjoyed the tour that is filled with wonderful experiences of culture, local life, places of interest and of course great food! We highly recommend China Culture Tour and would not hesitate to travel with them again in China 😊
