I have been in China for 5 years and was motivated to study Chinese from day one. I spent 4 years and a lot of money with different schools and teachers who all follow the official HSK curriculum, which if you are familiar with it, is complete nonsense. You will spend hours and hours doing multiple choice, learning words like ‚send a fax‘ or talking about beijing opera, but when you have to order a coffee in the real world you fail or when someone says ‚zhifubao‘ instead of alipay you won‘t know what they are talking about. GoEast actually designs their own curriculum, teaches you useful everyday words that are missing in HSK and actually works on improving your speaking skills. Since I joined GoEast earlier this year I made huge progress, am finally able to talk to people and manage everyday situations myself. I am truly glad that I found GoEast and would recommend everyone not to waste their time with other teachers/schools and to give GoEast a try!
