Fotor

They promised a free month and charged me for the whole year within minutes — a total SCAM

I feel the responsibility to warn others about Fotor App. They advertise a “1- MONTH FREE TRIAL,” but what actually happens is that they charge you the FULL ANNUAL amount (in my case, €49.99) almost immediately, without any clear confirmation or prior notice. I accepted what I believed was a free trial from my iPad, thinking I had 30 days to decide whether the service was worth it. However, just a few hours later, I was shocked to discover that the full annual fee had already been withdrawn from my account. I cancelled the subscription immediately, submitted a refund request to Apple, and began a stressful and time-consuming dispute process. What’s most outrageous is that, upon further research, I found that this is a pattern. Dozens of users report the exact same situation: they click on the free trial and are instantly charged the full yearly amount, with no prior warning or opportunity to opt out. This is not an isolated case — this is a deliberate tactic. Fotor didn’t provide any real help, and my bank said they couldn’t reverse the payment since it had been confirmed by the merchant. Thankfully, Apple eventually refunded me, but only because I acted quickly, collected evidence, and kept fighting. These practices are not just dishonest — they prey on people who trust the term “free trial,” and who, like me, may have had no other money in their account. If you’re reading this and thinking of downloading Fotor: don’t. And if it already happened to you, don’t blame yourself. You weren’t naïve — you were tricked by a system designed to deceive.
