Gravel bike upgrade - G25 carbon wheelset
Upgrading my stock aluminium wheels (DT Swiss C 1800) on my gravel bike Canyon Grail CF SL. After doing a bit of web search, I went ahead and ordered G25 gravel wheel set from ICAN. Ordered on Amazon.de (in order to skip dealing with customs) Got a message from Debby on Whatsapp - basically we went through my order and compared with my current wheelset specs to make sure ordered wheelset will fit the bike... Debbie found a problem - my wheel with 11 speed cassette had SRAM XD driver and I have ordered wheelset with SRAM XDR driver (for 12speed casette) - specifications listed on Amazon.de were a bit misleading, Thankfully this was picked up and my order was amended to get correct part which would fit...Wheels were delivered with rim tape (needed to be installed) and valves. Went for tubeless setup, have Vittoria inserts and 40 mm Specialized Patfinder tyres. Wheels are rolling well, lighter than original wheels. Noticable difference is that they are quite quiet on freewheeling (ratcheting sound on free wheeling DTs is so loud it will alert walkers or other cyclist). I was very happy with customer support, next time will be buying directly on ICAN website (option to upgrade bearings...)
