The tiny screws

The engineer is skewed to think those tiny screws will bite into the aluminum channel to hold the end plates on the unit, and delusional if thinking you can screw them in with the unit attached to the door. I used some air conditioner duct insulation seam tape to hold them on. I thought when door closes the bar that comes down to seal under the door would come straight down, it does not. The end closest to the button comes down first which then catches coming back up so had to trim an extra 1/8 inch off to allow for correct return when door opens. I have it working, but it took a couple hours overall to properly install it. The directions sounded easier than the reality. It appears it will so the job intended.
