Last minute price jump
I clicked on a flight showing 5,000+ THB. At checkout, the price suddenly jumped to 6,500. Classic bait-and-switch. I booked directly with the airline for 5,700 instead. Traveloka wasted my time and lost my trust in a single booking. I won't be using or recommending this platform again. If this is how they treat first-time customers, I hope others wise up too. My reply Thanks for the PR-friendly response, but let’s call it what it is—bait and switch. Don’t hide behind “airlines control pricing.” You control what you show to customers. You chose to advertise a low price to get my attention, and by the time I reached checkout, the real price was revealed—30% higher. That’s not fluctuation, that’s deception. Saying you're "working on transparency" while actively running a system that misleads users is insulting. And please—don’t pretend you care if you don’t. If this is how you treat new customers, it’s no surprise that trust doesn’t last long. I’ve deleted the app, booked directly with the airline for less, and I’ll be encouraging others to do the same. You don’t earn trust with damage control—you earn it by not wasting people’s time in the first place.
