So far so good

I pre-ordered the EVO-X2. For one thing, they have no customer support. Once you've paid them (or even before paying them), there's no way to hear from them, by email or anything. Once it launched and shipped, the delivery was super fast though. I ordered the 128GB RAM version. But looks like only 64GB of it is usable. I tried both the pre-installed Windows, and the Linux I installed on it. They both confirm that there is 128GB memory (by looking at the hardware details), but the OS can only use 64GB of it. I contacted them as this seems like a hardware limitation and not software, and as I expected, there's no way to hear back from them. I also wish it came without Windows as an option. The price of the Windows license is included in it, but the first thing that I did a few minutes after it arrived was to remove the Windows and install Linux. It'd also be nice to have a 5GB LAN. But the 2.5GB LAN that it's equipped with is not bad. It's just at this price point, competitors like Framework have 5GB LAN. Now I don't know without Windows if I'm going to be able to install any firmware update, if they provide any, in future. They seems to only support Windows. UPDATE: I installed the new firmware by booting a live Windows with a USB, and now it allows choosing how much RAM to dedicate to the GPU. I lowered it to 32GB for now. I still hope in future they do provide UEFI updates through LVFS so I don't have to boot a Windows to do firmware updates.
