Inaccurate product info and unhelpful customer service
Customer service was not helpful when I called. Apparently themed cakes required longer lead time. They bury this information in the shipping drop down. Yet on the product page, it still has next day delivery messaging. The product also did not allow Morning Delivery option, like other products, and the customer service agent, Brian O, did not even attempt to figure out a solution, he just said no. Editing after the Bake Me a Wish response: based on this response....only themed or personalized cakes are made to order, and therefore require longer lead time. The cake I requested was a Hello Kitty cake, as offered on the website, with no personalization. If the response from this vendor is made-to-order...then safe to assume the rest of the cakes are not made to order, They must be prepared in advance then. Buyer beware! I don't see why a Hello Kitty cake takes any longer to make than any of the other designs offered. Based on other reviews, I likely saved myself a lot of disappointment upon arrival anyway!
