UPDATED REVIEW
After posting my original review, I was contacted directly by a Customer Service Manager who had read my comments. I truly appreciate that Ozarke took the initiative to reach out rather than simply responding publicly. He listened carefully, understood why I was disappointed, acknowledged that my experience fell well short of the company's standards, and was genuinely committed to making things right. Throughout our conversation, he was professional, empathetic, and solution-oriented. He never minimized my concerns and accepted that the lack of communication, pricing confusion, and delayed delivery had resulted in a very frustrating customer experience. His willingness to take ownership and work toward a resolution has restored my confidence in the company. Because of his efforts, I have decided to give Ozarke another opportunity and have placed a new order. I am leaving my original review below for transparency so others can understand both what went wrong and how the company responded. If my new purchase is fulfilled as expected, I will gladly update my review again. **Buyer Beware – Misleading Pricing, Poor Communication, and No Accountability** My experience with Ozarke was extremely disappointing, and I would not purchase from this company again. I ordered two Millipede Wall Sconces after they were advertised on the website for $189.99 each. When my order was processed, I was actually charged $260 per sconce, less a 15% promotion (DAD15), resulting in a charge of approximately $221 each. To make matters even more confusing, the website was later changed to show the $189.99 price crossed out and replaced with the higher $260 price. I've seen retailers cross out a higher price to advertise a discount, but I've never seen a company cross out a lower price and replace it with a higher one. It made no sense and left me questioning the pricing practices. The product page also prominently advertised a 10-day delivery, yet after 30 days, I had received no shipment, no notification of a delay, and no communication whatsoever. Only after I contacted customer service did I learn that the item was apparently out of stock. At no point during the ordering process was there any indication that the sconces were unavailable or that the advertised 10-day delivery applied only to in-stock items. While waiting, the company launched a 20% Summer Promotion. Since my order had not shipped after a month, I requested a price adjustment from the amount I paid to the current promotional price. Based on the original advertised price of $189.99 and the current 20% promotion, I calculated that I should have received a credit of approximately $138.02, plus applicable tax. The first customer service representative, MJ, was pleasant but said she was unable to help and could only send an internal summary of my concerns. She assured me someone would call within a couple of hours. Mo did call as promised, but the conversation resolved nothing. He apologized repeatedly but insisted that $260 was the "correct" price, refused to honor the originally displayed $189.99 price, and would not apply the current 20% promotion despite my order remaining unfulfilled after 30 days. His only offer was a $50 store credit. A store credit was not an acceptable solution. This wasn't a purchase I'd be making repeatedly—it's not like buying shoes every season. I was purchasing lighting for my home, and after this experience I had no interest in receiving store credit to spend with the same company. After considerable back-and-forth filled with apologies but no meaningful resolution, I cancelled my order. I also requested the contact information for the company owner so I could express my concerns directly, but I was told that information would not be provided. Between the confusing pricing, the misleading delivery expectation, the lack of communication about inventory delays, and the refusal to make the situation right, the entire experience left me questioning the company's business practices. The website is beautiful, but my customer experience was anything but. I will be following up with my credit card company to ensure the charges are handled appropriately. Buyer beware!
