Trouble connecting and slow support
Pricing looked great, and the claim that maps and WhatsApp do not count towards data use was a clincher, so I bought a 5 GB pack for Europe but found install instructions a bit imprecise. Had to contact support to get help with install which too was not easy. Took many hours before support responded to my email and WhatsApp messages. Once installed the eSIM worked fine on landing in Paris. However, I was shocked when I discovered that my 5 GB pack was consumed within 2 days though I used my phone very little other than maps and a little web search. I discovered that ‘System Services’ gobbled up 4 GB of my pack and the rest was consumed by maps and WhatsApp which was supposedly free. . Support was slow to respond to an urgent request for help and when they did they did not explain the problem but offered a free 2 GB pack which they did not fulfill. Desperate for connectivity I bought another pack this time for 15 GB but it wouldn’t connect. I tried all the troubleshooting suggested on the app many times but without luck. I turned off all my apps, system update and even WhatsApp downloads. Finally on the third reset of IMSI and country code it worked and I got internet for the next 4 days albeit a bit spotty in Zurich. Overall I would say the product still needs work and quicker support but if that is assured it is a decent service at the price.
