Wig Business that’s needs improvements
I am leaving this review based on my experience with both the wig I received and the customer service process that followed. I ordered a wig from Wig Outlet and experienced shipping delays before finally receiving my order. Unfortunately, when the wig arrived, it was damaged. The lace was separating and coming apart right out of the box, making the wig defective upon arrival. I immediately contacted customer service and provided photographs of the damage. After reviewing the photos, management acknowledged the defect and offered a full refund. However, the situation became frustrating when I was informed that I would be responsible for return shipping and that $10.95 would be deducted from my refund. I do not believe customers should be expected to pay return shipping fees when a product arrives damaged through no fault of their own. What makes this even more confusing is that the return instructions I received state that damaged products are not eligible for return, yet I am being instructed to return a damaged product while also being charged for the return. The entire process has been contradictory and unnecessarily difficult. I understand that Wig Outlet is an open-box retailer and a sister company to wigs.com. Open-box merchandise can be a great way to save money, but "open box" should not mean damaged, defective, or inadequately inspected. Customers should still receive products that have been thoroughly checked for defects before being resold. The condition of the wig I received raises serious concerns about quality control. The damage was obvious and should have been identified before the wig was shipped. Receiving a defective wig is disappointing enough, but being asked to pay to return that defective product is even more frustrating. At the time of writing this review, the issue has not been resolved. If the company resolves this matter fairly and appropriately, I will gladly update my review to reflect that outcome. Until then, based on my experience, I cannot recommend Wig Outlet.
