My CHIME Experience: ✓ Positive
This has been a learning experience for me in that a) I was new to strictly online banking--also with a financial services provider; b) I was not retired when I first became a client so my needs were different. I took a chance due to its backing by a solid bank and am glad I did! Regretfully, I left them for a period of time but returned after retiring. (Aside from the array of beneficial basic services provided, their flexibility enables personal merit based perks, including for long term clients.) Since I signed up with Chime I have noticed new features and upgraded accounts with improvements affecting savings rates, deposit amounts, transfer types, quick &simple loans, cash-back deals and incentives, plus the expansion of free ATM /service store locations and partner offers. Regarding their customer service, there have been a few times when I needed their assistance and in each instance I was able to receive help right away, if not immediately. One time, I was in the middle of the checkout process and due to the time factor decided to use a backup method through Chime instead of the original attempted payment method (I was on the phone with them while checking out and I ended the call...they followed up with me right away.) It went smoothly; I am at the mercy of cellular service; it is ongoing.
