When my MIL was diagnosed with dementia, we had already started talking control of her finances. She had spent herself into a load of debt and was forgetting to pay bills. As.we were getting her back into financial shape we were trying to find something to allow her to have some independence but with stronger guard rails than banks typically had for adults.
