I wouldn’t recommend buying directly from this website. The main issue is the shipping with FedEx. In Japan, it’s one of the least convenient delivery services. They send a large number of emails asking to confirm things that often don’t make much sense, and on top of that I was charged unexpected import taxes. After this experience, I ordered the same item on Amazon instead. It was much simpler, the price was basically the same, and there were no import taxes. I really wanted to support SmallRig by ordering directly from their website, but in the end the process was unnecessarily complicated. From now on I’ll probably just buy whatever I need on Amazon, whether it’s SmallRig, Tilta, or another brand.
