Censorship Disguised as Moderation
0 Star Reddit presents itself as a platform for open discussion, but in my experience it heavily suppresses legitimate content while claiming to support free expression. I attempted to share advocacy-related posts about animal protection and public petitions, and my content was repeatedly removed, filtered, or blocked without meaningful explanation. The moderation system feels inconsistent, overly aggressive, and often arbitrary. Genuine efforts to raise awareness about important social issues are treated like spam, while low-quality or harmful content frequently remains visible. What is most frustrating is the lack of transparency. Users are often punished or censored without clear reasoning, making the platform feel less like a place for discussion and more like an environment controlled by unpredictable moderation and automated filtering. A platform that claims to support communities and conversation should not silence respectful advocacy and awareness efforts simply because they include petitions or activism. Reddit has become increasingly hostile toward users trying to promote meaningful causes. Very disappointing experience.
