A solid introduction to interior design, but not as complete as expected
I enrolled in the Interior Design Institute course with high expectations. I am currently halfway through the program, and my experience has been mixed so far. The course material is clear and structured, but it is entirely reading-based. Personally, I expected more video support or recorded explanations from designers to help reinforce the learning process. While this may not be essential for everyone, it would make the course feel more complete. I also found the tutor support somewhat limited. While working on the floor plan assignment, I sent two emails for clarification, and the responses I received were brief and did not fully address my questions. I eventually had to rely on friends for help to complete the assignment. Another challenge is that students without prior experience with design software such as SketchUp may find it difficult to keep up, as there is little technical guidance provided. That said, the course is not bad. It provides a good foundation and useful structure for beginners, but, in my opinion, it could benefit from more interactive teaching resources and stronger engagement with tutors. Overall, I still believe the program has value, but it did not fully meet the expectations I had when enrolling.
