Don't tell you about their extensive verification process before taking your money
They have a ridiculous amount of risk management hoops one has to jump through in order to buy some gift cards. A selfie holding my passport and a note with some details included. Plus a screenshot from my banking app. Did that and still wasn't getting my codes to make the purchase I was trying to make on Gap/Old Navy so I contacted their live chat and was told that the passport photo was too blurry - it wasn't. So I took another one and this time they said it was ok. Then they wanted a photo of my credit card with my name, the expiry date and the first and last four digits of the card. So then I had to take a photo of the card and go to Canva to blur out the CVV and credit card numbers in between the ones requested. Did that and sent via the live chat which gives an option to upload photos. Was then told that I need to go to a different website link and upload them there. At that point I gave up and found another retailer where I just paid as usual and got my codes immediately without the need to jump through all these hoops. What I'm really annoyed about is that they don't tell you they need all this information BEFORE they take your credit card payment. So when I went back to them to ask them to cancel the transaction I was directed to a web page that said it will take 30 days for the refund to appear on my credit card. I've bought many gift cards online before and never had this issue. Unless you particularly like sending personal information like your passport details as well as jumping through hoops I suggest yoj purchase elsehwere
