Bought a bike that nearly killed me
Bought a bike that nearly killed me. Zero accountability. I bought the Duotts C29 and the build quality was shockingly bad from the start. Cheap components, poor assembly, and it showed almost immediately. It led to two accidents caused by direct mechanical failures – hydraulic brake failure and a rear axle defect. I have an official mechanic’s report confirming these are life-threatening defects. This is not my opinion. This is a professional technical assessment. When I contacted Duotts, they acknowledged the defects in writing. Then reversed their position and refused to honor the warranty. Their idea of a “resolution” is forcing me to keep a bike that a mechanic has officially declared life-threatening – and only paying warranty compensation if I agree to do so. I either keep a defective, dangerous bike or get nothing. That is not a resolution. That is coercion. No consumer should be forced to keep a product that has been professionally confirmed as a safety hazard. Their support tactic is simple: delay everything. Responses take days or weeks, every reply just kicks the problem further down the road. It feels completely deliberate. I had to pause my Klarna payments and fight through a formal dispute process just to get basic consumer rights respected. Still no refund. Still no resolution. Do not buy from this company. The product is dangerously low quality, the after-sales support is non-existent, and when something goes wrong – and it will – they will not take responsibility even when they have admitted fault in writing and a mechanic has formally documented the safety hazard.
