uShip

Timeline of events

Timeline of events - Find UShip (post ad online, they find lowest bidders willing to move car) - Companies start accepting bid, asking about availability, weight capacity, and giving total price ect - My point of contact in Uship calls, emails, and confirms logistics (pick up/delivery timeframe, payment ect) - He then tells me (4 days later, after 0 updates), they cant find anyone to fulfill pick up/delivery timeline and are aggressively pushing for me to stretch pickup/delivery dates. And/Or, asking for someone else I know willing to handle the exchange. - On final day of time window, says he found someone willing to fulfill, for an extra $200 on top of listed price. How this doesnt come out of uShip's end I have no idea seeing as how they put me in a corner to begin with. They also said they are dealing with similar issues with other customers and are"still willing to work with me" and not charge me "fee" as long as I give them a good review. Where in this situation have I done something wrong to be penalized? Can you imagine I didnt have the capital in my account to afford paying the service a SECOND time as I wait for the initial refund, and the second charge being MORE than what was originally asked for. I'd be F***ED, so I was forced to keep conducting business for them. This is clearly fraudulent, and a company that works on being a middleman, cant stand to just drop the ball at the end of the listed time frame. A week's notice is plenty fair, and from now on I would be handling my car shipping with the delivery company directly. Why would someone rely on another company to communicate for them? Moving across states is hard enough, this company only see's the car at the end of the day. Unfortunate.
