TickPick Cancelled Sale and Fee Charged me a fee unfairly
I sold two Chris Isaak tickets for his October 15 concert in Newport Beach through TickPick. I also had tickets listed for a separate Chris Isaak show on October 16 in Rancho Mirage. When attempting to transfer the sold Newport Beach tickets to the buyer, I accidentally initiated a transfer of the Rancho Mirage tickets instead. I immediately contacted TickPick by phone and email to report the error. Their representative advised me to cancel the incorrect transfer, which I did. I also explained that the correct Newport Beach tickets would not be available to me until around October 5, per the venue, and asked TickPick to notify the buyer accordingly so the sale could proceed as intended. Instead of reaching out to the buyer — which they were fully aware needed to happen immediately — TickPick cancelled the sale entirely and charged me a $212.50 cancellation fee, despite the fact that I never cancelled the sale and was simply following their own representative’s advice. To make matters worse, the sale still appears as active in my account even though TickPick claims it was cancelled. After multiple calls and emails trying to resolve this, I have gotten nowhere. This is an unacceptable way to treat a seller who acted in good faith and made every effort to correct an honest mistake. I have all emails documenting this entire exchange. Beware of TickPick’s business practices — this appears to be a way for them to profit from sellers at every opportunity.
