Do not buy NIU! (see all bad reviews on Trustpilot), it's a Chinese company. My Niu KQi Air failed under warranty in May 2026 after 6+ months, error 07. NIU picked up the scooter, not repaired it, not replaced it, or refunded a single euro, asked to pay €60 for transportation — just endless requests. Worst after-sales experience I have ever had! Instead of properly diagnosing the issue, Niu quoted me €742 for repairs and proposed replacing nearly all major electronic components at once, including the battery, motor, and controller. When I refused to pay for these extensive repairs on a scooter that was still under warranty, my scooter was returned with additional damage to the carbon fiber parts and additionally, sabotage during assembly causing the drive wheel to become blocked. My electronic NFC unlock key card was also not returned to me. Based on my experience, I was very disappointed with both the diagnostic process and the handling of my warranty.
