Deceptive pricing
Deceptive pricing. I purchased after seeing Facebook ads. When you click onto the website the front page says "youre $10 away from 5 free gifts!" So I loaded my cart with $15 of stuff. I used a promo code for 30% off, also from the websites front page, which brought my total down to about $11. My order was delivered right away and went smoothly. But I got 2 free gifts, not 5. I thought it was an error so I contacted the live chat and spoke to the same person who dropped off my order. They repeatedly said that they have a $5 minimum to order, which makes sense, but they did not explain, nor is it clear on the website, that those $5 do not count toward your free gifts. This is intentionally misleading advertising. It does not meet legal standards for advertising and that is by design. The website asks customers to rate NookMart here on trustpilot. I'm surprised their score is as high as it is. Normally I would never complain about not recieving something free. But as I said - this is intentional deception, not an oversight or a user error. Because of the nature of the game, children are especially likely to be duped which is especially concerning.
