Printify

A Billing Error Was Forgivable. The Customer Support Wasn't.

I wanted to use Printify for a bulk order of 250 custom hats for an important event. My experience turned into weeks of delays, contradictory information, and ultimately forced me to take my business elsewhere. I successfully placed my order through Printify with a final order total of $3,818.52. However, instead of charging the amount shown on my completed order, my credit card was charged $4,777.91—nearly $1,000 more than the order total I had approved. To Printify's credit, they eventually refunded the overcharge after I canceled the order. However, that was only the beginning of the problem. Over the following weeks I was told: • The issue had been resolved. • I should recreate the order because the pricing had been fixed. • I recreated the order, and it was still more than $600 higher than my original order. • I was then told the Technical Team was actually still investigating the issue. • I was repeatedly promised updates, followed by long periods of silence. Throughout the process I repeatedly explained that this order was tied to a specific event with a firm deadline. Printify acknowledged the urgency several times, but no decision was made before the event. Because I could no longer wait, I had to find another vendor at the last minute. To meet the deadline, I was forced to reduce my order from 250 hats to 150 hats. The most frustrating part wasn't the original billing error—it was the lack of accountability and communication afterward. Weeks passed without a definitive explanation of why my completed order total differed so dramatically from the amount actually charged to my credit card, and despite multiple escalations, I never received a clear decision on whether Printify would honor the original order total. As a business owner, I understand that mistakes happen. What matters is how a company responds to those mistakes. Unfortunately, this experience showed me that Printify's true customer service isn't measured when everything works—it's measured by how they respond when it doesn't. In my case, they failed. I hope Printify improves its billing controls, internal communication, and escalation process, because no customer should have to spend weeks chasing answers for an issue that the company itself acknowledged. When Printify Gets It Wrong, You're On Your Own. UPDATE: It's been nearly 2 months now and I have yet to hear back from Printify. Just silence.
