I ordered a refurbished Mac Book
I ordered a refurbished Mac Book, Geek squad certified, which means it was supposed to have been painstakingly checked. It was sent to me with a cracked screen. First promise broken by Best Buy. I contacted customer support. I wanted to have the screen fixed under warranty, but I was told I could only exchange it since it was bought online, no repairs, and I believed them, of course. So, I go through the process of shipping the computer back, and have it exchanged, for the same model, paying even an exchange fee. Then, without an email, a call, nothing, just because I decided to check my account, I see that my exchange had been cancelled, after shipping the Mac back as I was told to do. I contact customer support again (by the way you wait even 25 minutes before chatting with an agent), and they tell me the exchange was cancelled because the item is not in stock, which is a lie because I can see that the same Mac is on sale right now in their website, only they sell it $90 more expensive. They say my only option is a refund, or I can take it to a store to have the screen fixed...really? They told me exatly the opposite of the first customer support agent, who was adamant I could not have it fixed! I explain the situation again, and nothing, they say the computer is not in stock, I share with them the link to their own webpage with my Mac on sale, now. Nothing I can only get it fixed or have a refund. But I ca'nt get it fixed, they had me ship it back! Then when they calculate the amount to be refunded, they try to make me believe the amount I paid for the Mac included the exchange fee that they made me pay. I HAD TO DO THE MATH FOR BEST BUY ABOUT HOW MUCH THEY MUST REFUND ME. Basically, they lied to me multiple times, their information is a lie, they tried to refund me less money that I actually paid and they say they don't have the mac in stock while they sell it at $90 more what I paid originally. It is outrageous how they do business!
