False advertising – "Unlimited" data heavily throttled immediately
I purchased an unlimited data eSIM from Maya Mobile, but the service is a complete scam. When I connect to the network, the speed initially jumps to a decent 40-50 Mbps, showing full 5G bars. However, within a couple of minutes, the system automatically triggers a heavy speed restriction, throttling my connection down to a useless 2-3 Mbps. This is a clear case of false advertising. They sell you "unlimited data," but their servers immediately pull the handbrake on your speed the moment you actually try to use it for anything serious (like streaming, cloud -gaming or downloading). 2 Mbps is barely enough for basic text messaging, let alone modern internet usage. They are hiding behind their "Unlimited" label while a third party deliberately caps your bandwidth in the background. I have already demanded a full refund. Avoid this provider if you need actual, usable internet speeds! UPDATE: I have contacted customer support regarding a refund. They informed me that my request was forwarded to the relevant team, but I have not received any response or update since then. Still waiting for a resolution.
