I ordered a Varstrom 750w hub motor…
I ordered a Varstrom 750w hub motor conversion kit with battery from amazon (because things from china and customs are a bit concerning sometimes) everything arrived as it should and in expected time. Compared to the Bafang 500w rear motor, this one is rather quiet and powerful. I only changed the flimsy pedaling sensor with a sturdier one (which gets mounted in 2 pieces, betwen the pedals and on them). Everything worked as it should. Then some spokes broke, didn't know I had to check the tension. I asked Varstrom about which replacements to get and they answered quickly and were very polite. After getting some cheap new spokes and tensioning them everything is fine now again. I can understand some reviews here which mostly are because of problems with customs, this naturally depends on which country they are sending to.
